This book is a celebration of the TV special Produced by Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass, which gave the legendary snowman personality. Rankin/Bass' Frosty the Snowman Premiered on CBS television December 7th, 1969 and holds the record for the longest-running TV Special on a single network. All of the other Christmas television classics have changed networks over the years. Jimmy Durante, Jackie Vernon, Paul Frees, Billy DeWolfe and June Foray brought the linear animated characters in Frosty the Snowman to life, which have become such an integral part of the Christmas holiday!
